Baseball Manager of Player Services

Description: CSE Baseball is currently seeking a Manager of Player Services at its St. Louis office. This team member will work closely with all facets of the company to ensure we deliver outstanding service to our clients.


  • Play an integral role in the day-to-day management of the careers of professional baseball players.
  • Design and develop statistical analyses and predictive models.
  • Support the organization in scouting and player evaluation.
  • Assist with the creation of reports and presentations for salary arbitration and free agency.
  • Review public research and the latest analytical methods in the baseball industry.
  • Develop internal reporting and recording systems.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Finance or Accounting.
  • An advanced degree in one of these areas is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to speak Spanish is preferred but not required.
  • Previous baseball experience as a player, coach, or relevant position is preferred but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge of baseball scouting terminology, baseball statistics, and sabermetric principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft office software, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with databases, SQL, Python, and R statistical software is preferred not required.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the baseball calendar.
  • Willing and able to travel as dictated by the needs of the company.
